Summary
Works with trust officers in the administration of trusts,
estate settlement, guardianships, individual retirement, investment
agency, and custodial accounts. Performs tasks related to the
operation of the department such as helping to receive and direct
clients, file maintenance, preparation of reports, and assisting
with department events.
Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as
well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. Works
in accordance with organization’s values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Administers on-going account relationships, including grantor
trusts, guardianship estates, irrevocable trust, special needs
trusts, investment management and custody accounts.

Open and close account files in accordance with department
policies and procedures.

Prepare client profiles and investment policy statements.

Gather all assets and work with operations group to transfer
and book assets.

Advise assigned portfolio manager as to cash needs, plans of
distribution and investment objectives during the period of administration.

Administer smaller, less complex relationships independently.
Work with trust officers on more complex relationships.

Process non-recurring disbursements and deposits with proper coding.

Prepare guardianship accountings pursuant to county standards.

Communicate with clients.

Greet visiting clients and professionals as needed and assist
in the organization of departmental events.

Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recommended. Two years’ trust
experience preferred, but not required. Educational or employment
background in trust, law, banking, finance, or related field desirable.
Language Skills
Requires ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both
written and verbally); Ability to read, write and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Requires ability to perform basic mathematical calculations;
add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute
rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Requires ability to use good judgement in making routine and
complex decisions; Must have excellent customer service skills with
the ability to sell products and Services; Must be goal oriented and
able to achieve individual goals as well as work as a team player to
achieve departmental and/or Bank goals.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be
proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to
quickly learn other bank related programs.
